The electrical box allows you to command and protect your filtration pump, power and protect your pool projectors. Depending on the chosen model, you can also command and protect other pool equipment, such as booster pumps, electrolysers, dosing pumps etc.
In respect of electrical norms C15-100 the power supply of an electrical box for filtration purposes should be fitted with a 30mA differential switch.
The SPACIUM features a shield protecting electrical modules allowing access to the units trip switch and fuses. Command buttons are situated on the right-hand side.
- Protection index IP55 (resistant to water projections, compatible with a damp environment ).
- Protection of the command circuit (switch and timeclock) with live and neutral circuit breaker.
- Protection of transformer (if a projector is used).
- 230V - 12V transformer (if a projector is used) conform to norm EN61558 - 2 - 6.
- Protected primary circuit with live and neutral circuit breaker.
- 2 25A 12V outlets for the models featuring 2 projectors.
- 3 position switch (Stop, start, automatic) used for filtration.
- 3 position switch (Stop, start, automatic) used for filtration for slave option.
- 2 position switch (On and off) to command projector(s)).
- Earth terminal.
- The slave terminals are used for connecting the command system of automatic treatments (electrolysers, dosing pumps, etc...).
- The mounted trip switches are dual pole for single phase versions and three-pole for three-phased versions.
- For a three phase pump, order the model without trip switch and add the three-pole trip adapted to your pump (see table below).
The command box
Installation of the box :
The command box must be placed in an easy to reach area, that permits correct operation (C15-100 et 771,558), correctly aired, easy access with no obstacles placed in front of the box. The box should be placed between 1m and 1,80m above ground level. Height is limited to 1,30m, taking into account wheelchair access (C15-100 et 771,558). Prohibited in volumes 0,1 and 2. (C15-100 and 702,51). The box should be installed at a minimum distance of 3,50m from the pool and by preference, in the technical shelter.

Power cables
The cable sections must be dimensioned to support the amperage of the box. The cable length must not cause a voltage drop greater than 5% of the original power source generated (C15-100 section 525). Table 1 shows the values for a copper cable, depending on the dimension of its section, power source, maximum amperage and maximum length for the indicated amperage. The ELV (12V) of the pool : Table 2 shows values for a copper cable section, depending on the power of the transformer and the cable section. The guidelines concerning the ELV cable section, circuit breaker and trip switch dimensions are given in the guide UTE C15-559. In the case of voltage drop, the norm cannot be applied for residential pools as the lifespan of the material will be diminished.
