Filtering with diatomaceous earth (D.E.) is simple and extremely efficient. It results in crystal clean water as it is able to remove even the tiniest particles. The diatomaceous earth filter Purex Triton FNS Plus will clean your pool water with extreme efficiency.

Functioning of the diatomaceous earth filter:
The filter is composed of a filtrating refill placed inside the tank.
The filtrating refill consists of several curved vertical filtrating parts called grids.
These elements are composed of septum stretched on a resin coated frame.
These curved vertical grids provide maximum filter service area for greater dirt-trapping capacity and longer periods between cleanings.
Septums are devices upon which the diatomaceous earth powder is collected in its cake structure to form a filtrating screen.
Diatomite is a powdery, non-metallic mineral composed of the fossilized skeletal remains of microscopic aquatic plants called diatoms. To the naked eye, diatomaceous earth is a fine, white powder but under the microscope it is seen to possess certain unique properties of being light, porous, pure, multi-shaped, rigid, inert including property of high absorptivity. All these make it highly desirable as a filter medium.
During backwashing process (cleaning of the filtering element) some of the diatomaceous earth is lost and a refill is needed.

Please make sure you do not discharge used diatomaceous earth filter medium to sewer. Put it into the rubbish.
