The Perseo Solar shutter ensures a secure pool without undertaking extensive installation labour. Ideal for existing pools, using a motor powered by the sun's energy. This simplifies the installation requirements as no cables are needed to provide the shutters power supply.
This security shutter is compatible to rectangular pools with inner dimensions of 11 x 5m (not including stairs).
The Perseo solar allows the conservation of water temperature, therefore, lengthening the swimming season.
Pool water evaporation is reduced and time spent cleaning the pool is shortened. Your pool water remains cleaner for longer and less water chemical treatment is required.
Opaque slats reduce photosynthesis, the main cause of algae development and proliferation.

The motor is powered using two batteries which are charged by a high-performance photovoltaic panel.
When fully charged, the battery can provide approximately 60 opening / closing cycles of the shutter. (for a pool measuring 8 × 4m with stairs).
This automatic shutter powered by the sun's energy allows you to cover your pool without undertaking extensive installation labour. By means of its photovoltaic panel, this shutter operates in a totally independent manner.
Opening and closing can be effectuated by one person alone by means of the key connector situated on the leg of the shutter. A maximum of three minutes is sufficient (depending on your pool size) to roll or unroll your shutter.
Limit management allows the shutter to open and close automatically (by maintaining the key connector active conform to the norm NF P90-308).
The shutters locking device is ensured by the anti-lifting system, offering optimal security.
In the case of electrical failure, the axis of the shutter is switchable, so your can secure your pool.
The assembly of the shutter cover is completed by either :
- using a clicking method
To click one slat to the other, commence by engaging the lower hook to the "male"side of the right-hand slat into the "female" side of the left-hand slat (fig.1 et fig.2).
- Create a to and fro movement till the two slats "click" together completely (fig.3 and fig.4).
- Using a sliding method
To slide one slat into the other, simply remove the caps and slide the slats together.

When ordering, ask for every third cap not to be fitted. This gains time during assembly.
When the shutter is in position on the width of the pool, it can be adapted to various stair shapes : rectangular, (1), trapeze (2), roman (3), semi-circular(4) or free form (5) (after consultation with us)
Stair cuts are optional.
Positioned on the final two slats, the skis assist the shutters orientation and ensure correct operation in-situ, on the pool water.
The holes for the ski are pre-drilled by the manufacturer.
Adjusting the limit management system of the Perseo solar
Three models are available, depending on the pool structure :
When you close the shutter, the trigger clips into the support.
To open, just push the button, lifting the trigger simultaneously to free the shutter before rolling it on its axis.
This shutter can be used during all seasons. Warning, do not manipulate in case of frost.
For an optimal operation of the shutter, we advise you to conserve the water level of the pool water 10cm lower than the pool border.
During the winterizing period, we advise you to keep the water at the same level.

The leg terminal of the Perseo solar shutter
This shutter features two white lacquered aluminium 300/100th leg terminals with a photovoltaic panel and a 3 position connector key.
The inclination of the shutters legs is adjustable by screws and avoids the need of surfacing a shaped or non-level pool surround (1).
Two drive bearings are fixed to the leg terminals of the shutter, supporting the axe of the shutter. The weight of the axis and shutter cover does not force on the axis of the motor, lengthening its lifespan. (2).
In warm weather conditions, the axis of the shutter can dilate and increase in volume. To avoid friction, an adjustment ring is positioned on the drive bearing on the free side of the axis to compensate the effects of dilation. (3).

The opacity of the slats reduces the phenomenon of photosynthesis and avoids the apparition of algae.
Each slat is composed of compartments filled with air to ensure buoyancy and limit the loss of pool water heat.
Caps are firmly stuck to the extremity of each slat to guarantee sealing and buoyancy.
Standard removable fins, measuring 25mm (Standard size) ensure the finish of each slat and can be replaced by fins of different sizes : 15mm (Small) or 35mm (XL).
This exclusive, patented system allows an assembly of slats by sliding easily to facilitate installation and maintenance or the shutters cover.

Assembly of shutter cover slats
The assembly of the shutter cover is completed by either :
- using a clicking method

The surface on which the shutter legs will be installed must have 182 x 147mm of available space on each side of the pool to fit the coach bolts.
On existing pools that have a pool surround a cut of 35cm needs to be completed to allow the passage of the shutter.
The shutters axis must be in a level position perpendicular to the pool.
The axis is :
In line to the edge of the pool surround for sharply angled pools (a).
at the end of a RADIUS on pools with rounded angles(b).
The surround cut
On existing pools that have a pool surround a cut of 35cm needs to be completed to allow the passage of the shutter.
The shutters axis
The shutters axis must be in a level position perpendicular to the pool.

The two shutter legs must be anchored in a level, horizontal position against the shutters axis. If needed, the legs can be inclined by using the supplied bolts.
To compensate for the effects of dilatation on the axis a margin of 5mm should remain after adjustment.

We recommend that you do not proceed with the floor fixations till you have totally unrolled the shutter to check its position and adjust.

The motorisation of the shutter is switchable allowing manual operation of the shutter. If this is the case, the limit management system must be adjusted when normal operation is put back into use.

The power source for the motor is provided by two batteries powered by the photovoltaic panel.
Direct exposition to the sun is required for at least 2 hours per day.
The Perseo solar is pre-cabled. Once the motor wires are cabled only the dominos need to be connected.

Security system
The Perseo solar is equiped with an anti lifting device conform to norm NF P90-308. This system is composed of ABS flanges + Straps + wall anchoring brackets.
The number of anti-lifting devices needed depends on the width of the pool.
