The range of STA-RITE 5P6R self-priming pumps is designed using glass fibre reinforced high-pressure thermoplastic, Quick-lock lid and 63 mm union connections to be stuck in place.
Conversion inches/mm : 2" is the equivilent to 63 mm
Design :
The STA-RITE 5P6R pumps are equipped with European motors that conform to the protection norm IP55.
By using high-pressure moulding, the turbine features an electrical sleeve which isolates the axis of the motor from passing water (offering high electrical security). The pumps turbine has been designed to deliver a high water column. These pumps finish and dynamic balancing ensure a low noise level in operation, offering excellent performance. The motor axis extremity is threaded to ensure perfect alinement with the turbine.
The main body of the pump into which the pre-filter is incorporated is made using high-pressure moulding. The connection orifices measure 2" (63mm). A large pre-filter (Ø6") is closed by means of a transparent polycarbonate lid that permit a clear view when assessing basket clogging. The sealing ring of the pre-filter is a new conception that reduces friction and eases the opening of the lid. Purge valves are manually tightened, making winterizing easy.
The pump has a raised base made from high-density polyethylene and is anchored by 2 fixation holes to the ground surface. The motor is not anchored to ease maintenance operations.
The materials used for the manufacture of the pump and pre-filter allow high working pressure ; perfectly resistant to heat and eliminating all risk of corrosion. Put to the test for several years, this material is incomparable and resists even to severe temperature variations.
