Composite Wood planks are easy, simple and rapid to fit, with an extremely clean finish. They can be fitted using standard tools and equipment. The installation system uses clips and stainless steel screws. The method of screwing into the clips, which in turn hold the planks, is extremely reliable and gives a much better final finish than using traditional methods, both in terms of aesthetics and long-term life expectancy.

Installation

Cross-sectional view Composite wood strips are empty inside, easy for cutting and screwing into place. The composite wood strips are fixed to the support joists with clips. Aesthetic and discreet, the clips match perfectly the composite planks, make partial dismantling possible.

Measure taking

Before ordering your composite wood kit, it is necessary to determine the exact surface of your decking. Example: Swimming pool kit 8m x 4m = 32m² pool decking measuring 12m x 7m = 84m², the total surface of the decking is 84m²-32m² = 52 m². It is necessary to add a supplementary 5% for cut outs so you need a 56 m² kit.

Tools needed

Circular saw, electric drill, and cordless screwdriver. Stainless steel screws included to fix the clips.

Choice of support 1°/ On a concrete slab: The concrete slab allows easy water drain out. Minimum 5 millimeters slope per linear meter all along the length of the support joists. In case of a rough or bumpy exterior apply coating to produce a smooth surface. 2°/ On natural site: Remove all the plants and make all the necessary. Prepare concrete supports for the joists (diagram 2) Important for the decking to be well leveled and long lasting. Apply geotextile underfelt (prevents plants from growing) allow 20 cm overlap between the strips.

Joists installation : - On concrete slab: Fix the joists in the slab with 40cm equal fixing distance. - On natural site: Place concrete supports (ratio 350kg/m3) aligned with regular intervals. Next fix the joists in the freshly mixed concrete with 40cm equal fixing distance (before the concrete dries up make sure you have leveled correctly the entire structure with a spirit-level. Allow 15 mm distance between the walls and obstacles for water evacuation.

Fixing planks The composite wood planks are fixed to the joists with self blocking clips (included). The supporting boards are chamfered for easy centering, adjusting and alignment of the self-blocking clips. Aesthetic and discreet, the clips match perfectly the composite planks, make partial dismantling possible.

Optional side finish is available

The self-blocking clips for perfect support and easy dismantling. Match perfectly the composite wood decking colour. Optional side finish with matching colours available screwed with stainless steel screws.

Coping - optional
